JCI Accredited – Samitivej Hospital –

While Barry and Dian had their knees x-rayed and met with the doctor for a diagnosis, I walked around taking photos and videos of the beautiful grounds on a rainy day.
Dian Thomas – Knee Problems … Osteoarthritis, Yes. But she’s not in pain. She’s a very active gal, so the doctor suggested she keep on doing whatever she’s been doing. Hooray!
Barry Edenstrom – Knee Replacement Surgery Suggested –
Feedback – “Exemplary! Scheduling an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon at Samitivej Hospital in Bangkok was worthwhile. I’d already seen at least 4 doctors including a chiropractor in the U.S., and in contrast, instead of handing me literature to read, the doctor at Samitivej, was precise and compassionate. I never felt rushed. He explained the knee area and my Osteoarthritis affliction, using a physiological chart of the body.”
The extreme pain I felt while walking was obvious. The x-rays showed bone-on-bone placement on both knees. He suggested exercises and sleeping positions, as well as normal daily activities, that would maintain motion, as well as strengthen the quads that support the knees.
He recommended the usual; anti-inflammatory and Glucosamine-Sulfate. The total bill was about $22.00. Average price for a replacement is $10,000.00, compared to at least $40,000. in the U.S.”
